About R.N.L.I of Hastings
R.N.L.I of Hastings is the bonfire society formed by volunteers connected with Hastings RNLI lifeboat station.
Members include fundraisers, shop workers, shore crew, boat crew and launch authorities who process together on the Sussex bonfire circuit.
Main Events
The society takes part in Hastings Borough Bonfire Society’s torchlit procession and joins other societies as visitors.
In recent Hastings processions, the RNLI contingent has been marked by a pause of honour near the former display site of the historic Hastings lifeboat Cyril and Lilian Bishop.
Costume & Pioneers
Members wear yellow and blue RNLI-striped jumpers, knitted by community volunteers.
