About Ashurst Wood Bonfire Society
Ashurst Wood Bonfire Society is a volunteer community organisation based in Ashurst Wood, West Sussex, near East Grinstead.
The society was incorporated as a Community Interest Company in 2022 and organises a free annual village bonfire night for local residents.
Main Events
Ashurst Wood’s main event is an evening torchlit procession through the village, finishing at John Pears Field for a large bonfire and professional firework display.
The society also runs smaller fundraising events through the year, including quiz nights, to support the autumn celebration.
Costume & Pioneers
Members wear purple and green striped jumpers.
The society’s pioneer theme is Halloween.
