Fletching offers a wonderfully traditional village take on Sussex Bonfire. Torchlit processions wind through the picturesque village before the evening culminates with a huge bonfire and spectacular fireworks, making this a charming alternative to the larger celebrations later in the season.
What to expect
A small, traditional village bonfire night rather than a large town carnival. Historic and visitor listings typically describe:
- Torchlit processions through the village with visiting societies and marching bands
- Impressive firework display set to music (son et lumière style)
- Free entrance - cash donations on the night for charities and the fireworks are welcomed
